This pin tray or ashtray was made by DeVilbiss c.1928. It was one of the art deco accessories they made to go with the perfume atomizers. This one isn't shown in any catalogues I have but luckily it has the original sales tag that shows it as #AT-44. I have only seen 2 of these in 35 yrs.
The metal holder has a wave pattern around it with a diving eagle or osprey on the end. It is probably rhodium plating as it is a very 'white' silver color. The glass insert is molded with a wave pattern on the top edge and enameled in a turquoise blue.
It is 5 1/2" long and 1 1/2" wide. Some wear or discoloration on the upper edges of the bird but all else very good. A very unusual DeVilbiss tray.
