Very nice mid/late 18th century authentic Veuve Perrin French faience hand painted plate marked with blue VP as shown. Has a crackled surface as made, and one short crack that is very well disguised, but considering the age it still displays well and is an authentic, not one of the so many copies/repros that were made by Samson. This is a typical piece that shows wear that is appropriate. Very heavy for its size at about 9 7/8" diameter. Has recessed flake on back as photographed. I know these plates were selling in the 600-800 range, if not more, but now......I sell for a fraction. To have an authentic period and original piece now?
