Fine French bronze lamp with gilt applied naturalistic foliage decorations, has empire/neoclassical and art nouveau influences. Probably dates to late c1900. Super heavy and solid. Was designed by A. Ermann. Overall excellent condition and does light. Classical designs in gilt dore bronze featuring leaves, berries, sheaths of wheat, a lotus blossom and geometrics and vines. The vines in particular are particularly art nouveau in style. This measures about 27 1/2" tall to top of stem, and 7" across vine handles. Very elegant overall, and excellent condition. No finial came with, but even a simple acorn would work.
