Very unusual recessed plate with vase for use as a centerpiece or punch bowl. Cased amber and cut back glass in amber cased Greek Key design and rim design(like elongated egg and dart) on the underplate or tray. Very heavy and solid....with just a small(hard to notice) chip on the vase as shown. Shows appropriate use/shelf wear to base for being about 110 years old. The underplate measures 15 1/4" with the vase or bowl being a substantial 8 3/8". We believe this is Pairpoint/Mt Washington as very similar patterns can be found on shades and similar production in the 1880s-90s. I have reduced this in price to my lowest ever! Great early American cut to clear, amber to satin glass, cameo relief pieces.
