When the great Cathedral of Notre Dame caught fire in 2019 the world watched in horror as the roof went up in flames. When the fire was out and people were able to enter the building again, they were amazed and relieved to find that the iconic stained glass rose window had survived the fire. Something about this ring reminds me of that window, the shape, the beauty, the way it comes alive in the light.
This lovely ring was hand crafted in Edwardian times in 18 karat gold with a platinum top. The ring is set with 13 diamonds, the center is about 0.05 carats, the 6 larger stones around it are about 0.06 carats each and there are 6 rose cut diamonds around the outside. All in all, a very sparkly ring!
The face of this ring measures 9.4 mm north to south and across, it sits 4 mm off the finger and narrows to 1.8 mm at the back of the band. The ring weighs 2.2 grams and is a size 7.5. This ring is unmarked but has been carefully acid tested to verify the metal content.
