Antique French Diamond, Gold and Platinum By-pass Engagement Ring
With a stylized nod to the Mistletoe theme that ran throughout Art Nouveau jewelry, this wonderful French 'toi-et-moi', or 'you and me' diamond ring has exceptional flair. The diamonds seem locked forever in a sentimental dance, just the two of them, 'you and me'.
Hand crafted in 18 karat gold and platinum, the ring is set with two old flat cut diamonds that sparkle like tiny prisms when they catch the light. This fully rendered ring has a wonderful solid weight and feel and is set with four diamonds in bright-worked floral platinum mounts. The ring weighs 3.4 grams and is a size 7. It is marked with the French purity mark of the eagles head and a makers mark which is quite rubbed. It was made in France around 1900-1910. This ring could be sized to suit with care taken to preserve the hallmarks.
This sentimental ring make a lovely engagement, wedding, anniversary or right hand ring.
