Well, the dress is new and the shoes are borrowed (Jimmy Choo’s from your best friend, the one with money AND taste, and the same shoe size as you, thank goodness!). So, might I respectfully suggest filling the other two slots with this fantastic necklace? It will not only bestow on your wedding the traditional blessing of being the old and blue with the borrowed and new, but it’ll make you look fabulous along the way. This stunning statement piece will also be happy to keep company with your jeans and pretty summer dresses long after it’s done partnering up with your wedding gown.
Hand crafted by famed silversmith Bernard Instone in about 1925, this stunning necklace features bright blue and white enamel and little rounds of blue plaque-a-jour enamel. The necklace showcases five fan-like panels which support a swag and further drops, in between each fan is a wirework flower with a blue and white enamel center. This delicately wrought necklace is quite the showstopper and measures 16.25 inches from end to end, it weighs 18.8 grams. The necklace is unmarked but has been carefully tested to verify it’s sterling silver content.
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Pass it on.
