This wonderful silver butterfly looks so intriguing that you might almost expect him to fly away!
This lovely butterfly brooch in shades of blue with black, green and red tipped wings was made in about 1935 by John Atkins and Sons. It’s a beautiful brooch of medium size and measures 27.6 mm north to south and 40.1 mm across. The brooch is marked to the reverse with ‘Sterling Silver’, ‘2378’ ad has the kite makers mark with JA&S. This piece weighs 6.9 grams.
