For starters, any additional information on these dolls would be appreciated.
I loved these dolls from the minute I saw them. They are a family of five, most likely made soon after the beginning of Communist China in 1921. Made of paper mache with pale white complections with all of the original garments. Some of them have "China" on the foot bottom and the mother still has her original China tag. All of their hands are formed as if ready to push or pull a something with wheels.
From hairstyles to fabrics to style, the detail is amazing. They are true treasures.
Tallest is the father at 7 1/2"T. Shortest is the little girl at 4 1/4".
There are wires attached at the back of the feet which allow the dolls to stand on their own.
