You are looking at a gorgeous and quite large Crown Ducal vase, which dates to the 1920's or earlier.
As you can see, this 13" tall vase is black and features swags of pink roses, along with a large pink rose on each side; both sides have the same design. Pink roses and two gray/white flowers with a rose dot in the center surround the top, right below the rim.
The bottom reads: Trade Mark, Crown Ducal Ware, A.G.R. & Co., Ltd., England. There is the number 15 painted in old gold paint, along with the number 15 incised, which is difficult to see. There are black numbers in black paint as well, but I can't make them out.
The overall condition is excellent, especially when you consider how old this vase is. There's crazing to the cream interior of the vase, along with what appears to be remnants of an old sticky tag, which will probably rub off. There's light crazing on some of the roses, but you really have to look closely to see it. There use to be a gold leaf rim, but it's mostly gone. There are a few small white dots, where the black paint is missing. I personally would leave it as is, but I imagine you could fill them in. There is a very minor rough spot along the rim. The matte black finish has a few minor scuffs (not really scuffs, but I don't know how to describe them). You won't even see them unless you hold the vase a certain way in the sun. There are no cracks or chips. The small imperfections sound so far worse than what they are.
As noted above, the vase stands 13" tall; it has a circumference around the center of 20 ¼"; the rim is 3 ¾ in diameter & the opening is approx. 1 ½".
This is truly a magnificent old & large vase, which features the prettiest pink roses & swags. This vase is definitely a statement piece, with its large size and gorgeous shape. The lucky new owner will love it!
