When I purchased this years ago, I was told it was an under slip for a wedding dress. I personally think this would look truly fabulous worn as a skirt with cowboy boots & sweater, maybe belted. Because of the fullness, I would recommend someone of a thin build, if used as a skirt. Also I don't believe this fabric wrinkles.
This is such a great looking &full creamy white nylon wedding under slip, which features 1/2" wide lace decorative trim & ornate bow designs. The lace is along the top & bottom edges of the slightly ruffled two-layer ruffle, with ornate bow designs on the front and back along with single lace pieces here and there.
The 3/4" wide waistband is done in a durable muslin; the slip/skirt is gathered at the waistband. The skirt opens on the side &has a hook/eye for closing, with an approx. 12" slit underneath the hook/eye to make it easy to get in and out of. The waist is 29" and there is no wiggle room unless you added a piece of fabric to make it larger. There is a small hole in the fabric next to the hook/eye, where someone had originally placed the hook to fit a smaller waist. This can be done again easily. I've shown a pic of the small hole, along with a small bit of rust & uneven stitches on the waistband.
The back center portion of the slip is approx. 8" longer.
The skirt is 34" long & 38" long in the center back portion.
This is a very full slip/skirt.
The condition is excellent. I haven't washed it, so it may brighten up a bit. There are no stains or odors and the only slight flaws are the small hole, rust & uneven stitches on the waistband (see pic). Very minor.
Whether it's used underneath a wedding gown or worn as a skirt, it is fabulous.
