I have never seen this automaton before in 30 years of collecting.....it is a large piece standing 23" tall on a deep maroon velvet covered base. The doll is holding a mignonette baby in one hand with a beautifully crafted antique glass baby bottle in the other hand. When wound, she turns her head as she raises the baby in one hand, then lower it and raises the bottle in the other hand. Her music box and movement are in excellent working condition. Her bisque head is free from any hairlines or damage. She has blue paperweight glass eyes, cork pate, pierced ears, blonde mohair antique wig, and is dressed in a lavish all original pink dress with matching bow. There is a hand crafted wood cradle at the bottom of her feet. She was made by Roullet De Camps and includes the original fixed key. The back of her head is marked 1300 S&H for Simon & Halbig. One arm has a reglued piece of bisque as shown, which means she is discounted!! this is a wonderful opportunity to own a fantastic turn of the century French automaton at a fabulous price due to a small flaw. She is available on layaway with just $400 down provided the remainder is paid in 15 monthly installments or less.
