This doll is amazing: she is a 33" Steiner made by Jules Steiner dressed in a unique and elaborate antique Scottish outfit with multiple pieces. Her bisque head is free from any hairlines damage or restoration. She has large blue glass paperweight set eyes, feathered brows, pierced ears with no chipping, closed mouth with shaded lips. She is marked J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris F1 re A 20 on the back of her head. Her composition body has its original finish and distinctive long banana curled fingers that is a unique trait of Steiner. The outfit originated from the liquidation of an important German Doll Museum. Her costume is compromised of a heavy wool red pleated skirt with side fringe and two cloth covered buttons, a heavy dark blue velvet vest with amazing detail. There are numerous metal buttons which bear an animal figure along with Galeic letters. She has a ruffled bodice, which is separate, along with another plain vest and incredible long sleeved velvet jacket. She wears a leather strap that has horsehair bundles hanging from a belt with a moose or buck head embellishment. It could be silver but I'm not sure.. The lace cuffs are removeable and her heavy wool plaid tartan socks are adorable. She has brown leather shoes, three sets of undergarments and a matching blue velvet hat with feather trim. She has an antique human hair wig with brown curls. This doll has everything and I hope to make it affordable for any collector to owner her.
