A beautiful 13" diameter tray decorated with handpainted roses. The central feature are wonderful white and yellow rose in full bloom. Expertly painted featuring shading, subtle contrast and great detail; one can almost note the unique rose fragrance. The center roses are encircled with blooms on red and pink on stem and leaves.
No artist signature can be found.
Mold marked GDA over France in green for Gerard, Dufraisseix and Abbot, ca. 1900-1941. A seasoned collector will quickly note this as early work qualifying for recognition as a quality antique Limoge tray.
