Beautiful hand painted condensed milk container or jam jar decorated with currants. Wonderful red, soft green and white berries hanging in bunches from the vine. Contrasting variegated green leaves adds additional depth and color. Gold highlighting adds additional color and depth. Gold painting to the lid and handles adds an additional touch. The matching underplate is painted with similar berries and gold application to the rim. Three small flea bites are noted to the plate rim.

No artist signature is found.
The container is marked T & V over Limoges France for Tressemann and Vogt, Mark 7, ca. 1892-1907.
