Stick pins are a very personal form of adornment and reflect in a subtle way the personality and taste of the wearer.
The wearing of stickpins began as a practical method of securing the voluminous neckwear that was worn to keep warm and protect the shirt from debris, and also as part of the fine feathers of the strutting gentlemen of the eighteenth century.
Today stick pins are collected for their beauty as miniature object of art and their versatility is limitless. The small size and often unique shapes offers many uses such as adding them to an up-do or securing a trendy scarf.
Special requests for polishing, sizing and shipping MUST be requested through the Ruby Lane site, preferably in the comment section when placing an order. Requests through email may not be received.
