COMPOSITION: Platinum over 14K White Gold.

GEM: Colorless Spinel (1) round faceted measuring 4.5 mm = 0.42 carat (2) round faceted measuring 4 mm each = 0.6 carat total weight & (4) round faceted measuring 3 mm each = 0.48 carat total weight. Total gemstone weight = 1.5 carats. Gemstone weight is based on measurement. No gems are removed in order to maintain the integrity of the piece.

CONDITION: Estate item, excellent.

MARKS: None. Acid tested to 14K Gold standard and Platinum standard on the top.

COMMENTS: This delightful Edwardian bar pin was delicately handcrafted in platinum over yellow gold right around the year 1900. Light and lacy platinum openwork sets the backdrop for 1-1/2 carats of colorless Spinel. Spinel comes in a variety of colors, but the colorless variation is the rarest of them all.
