This is a lovely pendant/brooch/pin from the late 19th Century. It is made of a combination of gold fill and 14K gold which was not all that unusual in jewelry at that time.
The oval piece is mostly gold filled with its textured center and trim on top of the coral testing at 14K gold. there is a nice piece of deep orange barrel shaped coral placed in the center.
The piece can be worn as either a pendant or brooch and has a typical c-clasp closure and a loop for a chain. It measures 1" by 3/4" and weighs 8.2 grams. It is in good antique condition with some minor gold wear and a few very minor dents.
