Today I am presenting a wonderful Prattware pot lid made in the second half of the 19th Century in England.
These lids were a highly collectable items during Victorian times and they still will make a lovely addition to your home.
This scene depicts a bunch of rowdy school boys going after one innocent "lamb". It is a transfer print and done in great colors and is in remarkable condition considering its age. The lid it housed in a round mahogany frame of the same period. There is a small hanging loop at the rear.
The pot lid has a 4 1/4" diameter, and framed it is 5 3/8". The lid has some very minor crazing, otherwise looks fine.
