This very attractive necklace is double stranded and has a very unusual and unique design. This was purchased together with several other regional items of jewelry, and is of typical south western style, with turquoise and silver tone bead composition. I believe it dates to the 1960's or 70's.
The necklace consists of two strands, held together by a barrel clasp. The inside strand measures 20" in length and is strung silver beads, unmarked, alternating with turquoise nuggets. At the bottom of this inner strand are thirteen elongated and graduated turquoise strips. The outer strand measures 24" in length and has silver beads and turquoise nuggets.
Together these two strands make a beautiful design that will highlight any attire. It is in great condition.
