This adorable child's sterling silverware set was made by the famous firm of S. Kirk & Son. It is done in their notable Repousse pattern. My initial research suggested that this set was manufactured in the mid 19th century, however a customer has subsequently suggested that this more likely dates from the 1930's. I'll defer to their presumed greater expertise.
S. Kirk & Son of Baltimore was merged with Stieff Silver in 1979 and they are still producing the Repousse pattern today.
The three piece set consists of a fork, knife and teaspoon. The back of the fork and spoon have the name "Peggy" written in script as well as the words S. Kirk & Son STERLING.
The spoon is 5 1/4" in length, the fork is 6" and the knife measures 7". It is in good vintage condition with the bowl of the spoon looking slightly beat up from use.
The total silver weight is 3.4OZT. I'm sure it would please some lucky little child today as it did a child of an earlier era.
