This wonderful bridge trump marker was purchased in Cork, Ireland on a recent vacation. I believe it dates from the late 19th to early 20th Century.
The piece is harp shaped and made from what I believe to be bog oak, or perhaps gutta percha. It is decorated on one side with shamrocks and a harp. The back side is plain. The markers are on celluloid panels. Etched into the bottom it says KILLARNEY. Perhaps a souvenir item, or possibly made there.
The piece has a height of 2 3/4" and is 2 1/8" wide. It is in good antique condition, with one of the markers showing slight loss by a top hole. A great gift for any bridge player, or for someone of Irish decent.
