From Dublin Ireland, comes this charming brooch or pin , dating from the late 19th Century. It is made of bog oak, a petrified wood that was often used in making jewelry during this time period.
The brooch is circular, and has three shamrocks at its center. The border is also surrounded with shamrocks. Very pretty and oh so Irish.
The piece has an old c-clasp silver metal closure. It has a diameter of 1 1/2". It weighs 10.8 grams and is in fine antique condition.
