Dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian era (1890-1910), comes this stunning lavaliere, or pendant. It was manufactured in England, and is made of hallmarked 9 karat/carat yellow gold, and contains seed pearls and amethysts.
The piece has a length of 1 3/4". including the top bale, which is set with seed pearls. The openwork surround is also embedded with the seed pearls, with a total of twenty on the entire piece. The center oval amethyst stone is bezel set and has a length of about 6mm, while the amethyst drop measures about 4mm in length. A beautiful treasure from a very romantic era.
The lavaliere has a weight of 2.3 grams and is in fine antique condition.
