It is with pleasure that I bring to you this delightful vintage brooch that I purchased on a recent visit to Bath, England. The piece was made in China circa 1930. It is marked CHINA on the back. It tests as 800 plus silver.
The piece is in the form of a flower wagon or cart, with a movable wheel. The flowers and leaves have pretty enamel work in colors of green, pink and blue. There also is a piece of rose quartz and agate in the cart. The silver cart is textured to resemble wicker and has some enamel flowers on it as well. There are two silver bars at the bottom. Stunning!
The pin measures 2 1/4" by 2". It has a safety clasp closure and weighs 16 grams. It is in good vintage condition, with possibly some minimal enamel missing, but hard to tell. Overall a quality piece of early 20th Century Chinese craftsmanship.
