This lovely carving dates from the mid 20th Century. It shows an Eskimo in his kayak.
It shows much detail, as he is holding his harpoon, ready to strike. There is a paddle tucked under ropes on the kayak and in the rear a piece that is cone shaped and I presume used as an anchor. A very nice Inuit souvenir.
The piece measures 4" long and is 1 1/2" high and 3/4" wide. It is in fine vintage condition.
