This pretty pin or brooch dates from the Victorian era - late 19th to early 20th Century. It is clearly hallmarked, as 800 silver.

The pin has a nice deep purple oval amethyst stone at its center and a pretty open work design. It has a length of 2" and is 1 1/8" wide. It has a safety clasp closure.

The brooch weighs 9.9 grams and is in fine vintage condition.
