An adorable Japanese moriage single candlestick, dating from the late 19th or early 20th Century. Moriage is a form of Nippon porcelain that was usually not marked, containing raised slip-work decorations. Almost like icing on a cake.
The stick has a height of 4 3/4" and would look delightful on a bedside table or dresser. It is done in shades of green, pink, blue and burgundy. There are some flowers on the white porcelain plaques surrounding the base. It is in fine vintage condition and I even left remnants of the candle that was burnt at the top.
