A wonderful posey holder or tussie mussie. This one is French in origin and dates from the mid to late 19th Century. It is made of a gilt metal and has a wonderful open work floral design. I just love the curved basket weave design handle.

This piece is only 4 1/8" long and may have been designed for use by a child or young lady. It has a large clip to allow you to adhere it to your clothing, especially useful if giving it to a child, so it won't get lost. Likely original to the piece, it matches perfectly.

The piece is in wonderful antique condition and would be a fine addition to your collection, or start a new one.
