This beautiful cameo ring dates from the late Victorian era, circa 1900. It is made of hallmarked 750 (18K) yellow gold and has black enamel trim. It contains a pretty cameo (a shell cameo I believe) bust of a classical female, done in profile.
The cameo is oval, and measures about 3/4" by 5/8". It is surrounded by a band of black enamel work, and has a nice open work shaft.
The ring is a size 6 1/2, but can easily be re-sized by your jeweler. It weighs 4.6 grams and is in fine antique condition.
