Spectacular is the one word I would use when viewing this ring. It is made of hallmarked 14 karat yellow gold and has the hallmark of the La Triomphe Company from Astoria, New York. The ring is Circa 1965 and is in the cocktail style - so fashionable in that time period. The company manufactured high quality jewelry almost exclusively in yellow gold and was in business between 1965 to 1985. The company has a logo of the Parisian Arc de Triomphe and is widely collected and appreciated for its vibrant colors, strong designs and vintage aesthetic.
The ring is raised and has beautiful green enamel "leaves" at the bottom with a round top made up of opals and diamonds. There are 12 brilliant cut eye clear diamonds surrounding the opals.each about .10 carat. The center opal is round about a 3mm size and is surrounded by diamond shaped opals . The opals have a gorgeous blue to green sheen. The shank has a partial twisted rope u-shape design. It is a stunning piece of jewelry and sure to become an heirloom someday.
The ring is currently a size 5 and has a ring guard inside that is pushed all the way down. It could be removed making it slightly larger, and could also be re-sized by your jewelry. It weighs 11.4 grams and is in fine vintage condition. Don't pass this one up. Shipment on this will be via registered mail, with signature delivery confirmation.
