This is a small Victorian lower holder, tussie mussie, posey holder brooch. It is 2" long and 1/4" wide, perhaps made for a single flower or small bouquet. It is made of hallmarked sterling silver and dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1890-1900.
The pin or brooch has a pretty etched floral design with a cartouche at its center to place initials if desired. None are present. There is a sharp pin at the back to hold the flower, or flowers and a c-clasp style pin to fasten to your clothing.
It is in fine antique condition.
