This wonderful pair of cufflinks, cuff links, dates to the Victorian era. They are not hallmarked gold, but acid and electronically test at 14 karat. The underside of the circle says PAT, and has en embossed globe and JE 81. This may be the company that made the closure for the links.
The piece has an square shape with cut off corners. There is an X running through the middle that is highly embossed with a vine or floral design. They would be suitable for both male and female, although when made were strictly for men.
The cuff links measure 3/4" square and weigh 6.2 grams. They are in fine antique condition.
