This is a stunning glass rose bowl, manufactured by the Mount Washington Company of Mass., at the end of the 19th Century. I consider the coloration to be peachblow, however a shopper has tendered an opinion that peachblow is a different specific coloration. I have seen similar pieces called Burmese. In any event it is a beautiful piece manufactured by the prestigious Mt. Washington glass company.
The bowls shape is known as a rose bowl and was a common design at this time period. The bowl has the most gorgeous raised enamel work, done in shades of gold, white and deep red. The intricate scalloped top is outlined in a dark color enamel as well.
The bowl stands 5" high and has a base diameter of approximately 3". It would look fabulous in any setting. It is in fine condition with no chips, cracks or missing enamel.
