This wonderful piece of jewelry is a portrait brooch or pendant, dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is made of 14 karat hallmarked yellow gold and contains a pretty hand painted portrait of a woman.

The portrait is oval in shape and shows an 18th Century woman, complete with white wig and a gown with a pretty pale blue bow. The picture is surrounded by a fluted gold frame, inset with tiny seed pearls..

The piece measures 2" by 1 1/2" and weighs 12.1 grams. It is in fine vintage condition.
