Presenting a fine example of Native American craftsmanship; a Kachina doll made by Johnny Burgess, an artist from the Jemenez Pueblo of New Mexico. It likely dates from the 1970’s to 1990’s
The Black Ogre Kachina stands 19" high, inclusive of the base and feather headdress, which I believe is made from eagle feathers. He is hand carved, and has much detail, including his white leather skirt and instruments in each hand. He has bells on his legs and arms and is even wearing a real turquoise necklace..
The Kachina is in fine vintage condition, and comes from a collection of southwestern objects, some of which I am adding to my shop today. Where possible, shipment will be by USPS parcel select, based upon the size of the item.
Please Note: advance approval is required for any out of country purchases, For any desired International orders, shipment must be by Priority or Express Mail International. Please see my shop terms of sale which can be found on the right hand side of any page.
Thanks for stopping by.
