What a fabulous pair of Victorian wedding bracelets. I don't come across these very often and was thrilled to find this pair. The are made of gold fill and have a patent date of 1885. They have expandable backs and should fit up to a 7" wrist.
The bracelets are marked PAT. JULY 14 85 (1885). There are no other markings. They have a central plaque with a textured background and an applied leaf design. The top and bottom of the rectangular plaques have tiny balls. On either side of the central plaques are gold color balls. Four on each side.
The bracelets have a combined weigh of 29.4 grams. One bracelet is in perfect condition. The other is missing one leaf from the plaque and three small balls from the top and bottom of the rectangular plaque. They are still wonderful and should not be very noticeable. I have tried to price these appropriately given one of the bracelets has imperfections, as noted, however finding a matched pair in any condition is very problematic nowadays.
