This charming little pin or brooch dates to the late 19th Century and was made in Scotland. It has three hallmarks, that I am not familiar with, but tests positive for sterling silver. It also has what looks like ALLS written on the back.
The piece is just over 1 3/4" in length and has a c-clasp closure. It is a bar style brooch, often pinned across Victorian ladies high collars. At its center is a thistle, very Scottish, which has a purple faceted stone on the top. On either side are rectangular pieces of banded agate - one gray and the other an orange brown color. Very attractive. You may decline additional insurance if desired, as $50.00 coverage is automatically provided on priority mailings.
The piece weighs 4.1 grams and is in fine antique condition.
