You are viewing one of the most spectacular sets of jewelry I have ever seen, and I am including pieces I have viewed in museums. I was very fortunate to acquire this from a Florida fine estate where it had been in the owner's possession for decades.

The set consists of a brooch/pendant and matching pierced earrings. It is not hallmarked but tests at 15 karat gold and is believed to be English in origin. The gold work is outstanding and the textured floral designs point to Art Nouveau influence. The gold work was handmade to enclose the coral carvings..

We will start with the brooch/pendant. It measures 2" by 1 1/2" and is domed. The back has a c-clasp closure and a bale, which I suspect was added at a later date, but perfect for your chains. At its center is a fine coral carving of a female holding a flower. Her carved flowing scarf and her arms hide her anatomy in a demure way. I suspect that the carved coral pieces are Italian in origin and date to a significantly earlier period, perhaps 18th century. The hand made setting was designed to highlight these exquisite carvings.

Now to the pair of earrings. The gold work duplicates that of the brooch and they have a wearable length of 1 1/2" with a sturdy gold wire that hooks at the rear for safety. Each earring is unique. One shows a young boy anatomically correct. The other is that of a full length young girl in profile. It appears that part of one leg is missing, but hardly noticeable when worn.

Pictures cannot truly capture the fine detail and beauty of this museum worthy set that comes with what looks to be its original blue velvet shaped box. the boxes exterior is somewhat worn, but fully functional and complements the set.

The set has a combined weight of 40.1 grams. Don't miss out on this opportunity to own a true prize. Shipping will be via registered mail.
