This is a very attractive bronze bowl or vessel. It is Japanese in origin and has a Raised Kanji script mark on the bottom. I believe it dates to the early 20th century.

The piece has a top diameter of 4 1/4" and is 4 1/2" tall.

The bronze has a wonderful dark patina. It has an embossed design on one side showing a squirrel on a branch with either grapes or berries. On the reverse there is an embossed leaf design.

The piece is in fine vintage condition and would make a fine addition to any collector of Asian bronzes.
