The estate where I purchased this, indicated this ring was worn by their favorite uncle as a pinky ring. It is truly gorgeous, and I feel would look equally well on a woman's hand.
The ring is made of hallmarked 14 karat yellow gold and has a maker's initials of D with a K inside. The top section of the ring and part of the shank is textured. Two pear shaped pieces meet at the center. One side contains a striking blue sapphire cabochon, also in a pear shape. It is approximately 10 mm in length. The other side contains five round diamonds graduating from 2mm down to 1.4mm.
The ring is a size 8, but can be re-sized by your jeweler if needed. It weighs 9.6 grams and is in fine vintage condition.
