This is an unusual bar style pin dating from the Victorian era, circa 1890. It is not hallmarked but tests as 14 karat gold and silver. It has a yellow gold bar and placed on the bar are two red paste round stones, each approximately 3mm. At the center are three sparkly old European cut diamonds. They are set in 800 or better silver, with gold underneath. The diamonds have a weight of approximately .70. There is a small stem under the diamonds giving the impression of a three leaf clover.
The pin has a c-clasp closure and is 1 1/2" in length. It weighs 2.7 grams and is in fine antique condition.
