Presenting a charming pair of vases, French in origin, and made in the 19th Century. They are gilt metal, (I am not sure if copper or brass), but very light weight.

The vases stand 5 1/4" tall and have a base diameter of 1 1/2". They have a bulbous bottom and long slender necks.

The metal is gilded and covered with beautiful enamel work in shades of blue, green, red and white. The bases have detailed swirled metal work and each has a little bird flying amongst the flowers and leaves. The long slender necks are also covered with raised enamel work designs.

They are expertly done and in fine condition. They would look lovely in your home or make a marvelous gift.
