This is an unsigned piece of Wavecrest glass.made in the late 19th to early 20th century by the C.F. Monroe Company. It is very likely that the backstamp has worn off over time.
This lovely jar was used on milady's dresser to hold jewelry, pins etc. and can be used the same way today. It has a wonderful enameled design of daisy flowers on the lid.
The box measures 4" in diameter and stands 2 3/4" tall.
It has a hinged lid trimmed in brass.
The box is in great condition with the hinge nice and tight. There is some spot on the inside bottom that feels rough or scratched, perhaps from long ago treasures.
