ON HOLD FOR S.R.
If you love Victorian jewelry, then this ones for you. It is done in typical Victorian style of the Etruscan Revival style circa 1880.
The piece can be either a pendant or brooch. It has a c-clasp pin closure and a pop up bale, which retracts when not in use. The center contains a beautifully carved salmon colored coral bust of a female. She looks to have an elaborate hairstyle. She is surrounded by a gold filled frame which ends in three dangles.
The piece has a length of 2 1/2" including the dangles. It weighs 6.8 grams and is in good antique condition. A customer suggested to us that the nose on the coral bust looks like it may have been smoothed down at some point. I don't see any defect, even with high magnification, but I'm noting same just for the sake of accuracy.
