These charming watch pins were very popular at the beginning of the 20th Century. Women would wear them on there clothing and hang there prized pocket watch on them. I am told many people living in New Orleans now buy them, as the Fleur-di-lis is the symbol of that city.
This pretty one is made of unmarked 14 karat yellow gold. When we brought it into our jeweler to test, he said it tests as 14k, but had a 22 karat gold wash put on top, making is appear even more lush. It measures 1" long and is 3/4" wide. The back has a c-clasp closure and a hook to hang your watch. You could also use it to suspend a favorite pendant. I believe a gentleman could use it on his lapel.
The piece weighs 3.4 grams and is in fine vintage condition.
