This trio of plates was manufactured in England in 1887. They were made by the Royal Worcester Company and each one was hand painted.
The plates have an 8 3/4" diameter and a highly scalloped gold leaf border. Each plate has a blush ivory colored background and a different floral design. Please see all the photos to see how delightful these designs are. I have a large serving platter which matches these plates, and which is listed separately under our shop item number 002218. I've seen sets of these plates and platter labeled together as an ice cream set.
The registry mark indicates the plates were made in 1887. They are in good antique condition, but one of the plates has a slightly brighter gold on its border. There are no chips, cracks or loss of color.
Wouldn't these be lovely displayed in your cabinet, or taken out on special occasions to grace your table?
