This unusual and attractive necklace dates to the 1920's or 30's. It is made of 14 karat gold beads and foil glass beads, which were very popular in that time period.
The beads are strung on a fine 14 karat gold chain and graduate in size from approximately 3mm to 15mm. The gold beads have a rose cast to them. The foil glass beads have an egg like shape and are a mottled iridescent green and brown color.
The necklace has an overall length of 16". The ring style clasp is hallmarked 14K. the chain and beads have been acid tested at 14 karat.
The weight of the necklace is 24.1 grams. (I estimate the gold weight on the necklace to be 5-6 grams). The necklace is in fine vintage condition.
