This attractive purse framed is hallmarked G. Silver and has a patent date of Nov. 27th '06.
German silver is not really silver at all, but a nickel alloy, very often used in ladies handbags of this period.
This purse frame has an attractive lion's head protruding from its center. It has a paper clip style chain and a two ball push open clasp. The frame is decorated with flowers and vines.
The piece is 6 1/8" long and 3/4" wide. The chain handle is 8" long. If you have a purse that needs a frame, this one is a beauty. It is in wonderful vintage condition with hardly any wear at all to the silver alloy.
