This very attractive pendant and brooch was made in the Mexican state of Jalisco in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico. It is marked as such. It is also marked 925, has an eagle 50 mark and the artist initials of VHLC.
It is a stunning hand made object, from the 1950's or 60's. It is a circular shape with a 2" diameter. The piece is entirely inlaid with crushed abalone. On top of the background is a cut out silver animal, which I believe to be Mayan inspired.
The piece weighs 13.4 grams and is in fine vintage condition.
